The Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku is in the global media spotlight. “The Europe Today” emphasizes that Azerbaijan showcases its global urban development vision.
A special Organizing Committee was created to ensure the successful organization of the forum. Officials stated that this decision reflects international confidence in the country's ability to host global events.
President Ilham Aliyev identified urban planning and sustainable development as strategic priorities. 2026 has been declared the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”.
The forum features a 3.5-hectare “Urban Expo Zone”, the largest in WUF history. 217 organizations participate, with 66 countries represented through national pavilions.
WUF13 demonstrates Azerbaijan's contribution to solving global urban challenges. Media from China, Pakistan, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and other countries widely cover the forum.
