Azerbaijan is implementing a decisive policy towards creating and maintaining a sustainable peace and stability environment in the region.
Oxu.Az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his address to participants of the international conference titled "Regional Contribution to Global Security: Peacebuilding in the South Caucasus" held in Shusha.
He noted that last year, the signing of a Joint Declaration between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia witnessed by US President Donald Trump in Washington, and the initialing of a peace treaty, completely changed the situation in the South Caucasus:
"In this regard, the Zangezur Corridor, which is being realized, will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan region, and will also become one of the key segments of the Middle Corridor."
