An 11-year-old student in Kansas, USA, discovered the skeleton of a 85-million-year-old Tylosaurus during a geology club field trip.

The discovery began in September 2025 when unusual vertebrae were spotted in a quarry.

Excavations revealed a complete skull and main skeleton of the 4.5-meter-long marine reptile.
