The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported about 600 possible Ebola cases and 139 possible deaths in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated during a briefing in Geneva that alongside confirmed cases, there are these suspected figures.
“Given how long the epidemic spread before detection, we expect these numbers to rise,” he said.
Currently, the DRC has reported 51 confirmed cases, while Uganda has 2.
