A divorce case that lasted over 20 years in the UK has finally been resolved, marking the longest in the country's history.
According to The Times, the case involves Varsha Gohil and Bhadresh Gohil, a legal battle that began in 2002.
Varsha filed for divorce at age 37, accusing her husband of adultery and unreasonable behavior. In 2004, an initial agreement granted her £270,000 and a car, but it later emerged that Bhadresh had hidden assets through companies worldwide.
Bhadresh was jailed for 10 years in 2011 for money laundering, and his assets worth £28 million were frozen.
The Court of Appeal of England and Wales has now ended the dispute, ordering compensation of approximately £6.6 million to Varsha Gohil. The ruling is final.
