A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck northern Iran, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The tremors were recorded at 00:16 Baku time, with the epicenter located 38 km east of Tehran at a depth of 35 km.
No casualties or damages have been reported so far.
