In Niger desert, 49 people die of thirst after vehicle breakdown. Only two survivors.

A tragic incident occurred in the desert of western Niger. 49 people died of thirst.

According to BFMTV, the incident took place about 80 km from the settlement of Assamaka.

The deceased were buried in a mass grave. The cause was a vehicle breakdown.

Stranded without water in the scorching desert, the people could not survive. Only two people were rescued.
