A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has struck Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula.

The tremors were felt 85 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The Kamchatka branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Geophysical Service confirmed the event to TASS.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
