The winners of the 79th Cannes Film Festival held in France have been announced.
In the "Best Film" category, the Palme d'Or was awarded to Romanian director Cristian Mungiu's "Fjord".
Starring Renate Reinsve and Sebastian Stan, the drama follows a large family's migration from Romania to Norway and their struggle against local societal pressure.
The "Grand Prix" was awarded to Andrey Zvyagintsev's "Minotaur". The Jury Prize went to Valeska Grisebach's "Dream Adventure".
In the "Best Director" category, three awards were given: Pawel Pawlikowski for "Homeland", and Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo for "Black Ball".
The "Best Actor" award was presented to Valentin Campan and Emmanuel Macchia for their roles in Lukas Dhont's "Coward".
In the "Best Actress" category, Virginie Efira and Tao Okamoto won for their roles in Ryusuke Hamaguchi's "Sudden".
