Approximately 90 drones unexpectedly fell into the sea during a light show in Sydney, Australia.
Oxu.Az reports citing Australian news portal "News".
According to the source, while spectators were watching hundreds of illuminated drones fly in sync, some of the devices suddenly deviated and plunged into the water.
The incident occurred in the evening, and the show was immediately canceled.
All subsequent performances planned for the coming days have been suspended for equipment inspection.
"SkyMagic", the company responsible for the technical part of the show, attributed the incident to an unexpected radio wave malfunction that occurred shortly after takeoff.
Due to loss of positional accuracy, some drones automatically switched to emergency landing mode.
The festival organizers apologized to the audience and emphasized that no one was injured.
Currently, experts are conducting an investigation together with government agencies.
