Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during a briefing in India that the ceasefire is very fragile and they are trying to preserve it.

He noted that some countries are trying to disrupt the negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

Araghchi expressed hope that the process would return to common sense and the conflict would be resolved through diplomacy.

Recall that on February 28, Israel announced a preemptive strike on Iran, and the US confirmed its participation in the military operation.

Iran retaliated by firing ballistic missiles at Israel. On March 1, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was reported killed.

Iran also struck neighboring countries hosting US military bases, leading to temporary airspace closures. Navigation through the Strait of Hormuz faced serious disruptions.

On April 8, Trump announced a two-week ceasefire. A first meeting was held in Islamabad, but the second meeting scheduled for April 22 did not take place.
