An aircraft carrying firefighters has crashed in Canada's Northwest Territories.

According to Oxu.Az, the CBC television channel reported the incident.

The 'Turbo Commander 960 Bird Dog 104' plane, typically used to assist in fighting forest fires, crashed about 50 kilometres from the settlement of Fort Simpson. The deceased firefighters were involved in extinguishing forest fires in the area.
