Armenia election violations: 14 detained

Armenia's parliamentary elections saw 57 violations, leading to 14 detentions. Multiple voting, secrecy breaches, and bribery reported.

During the parliamentary elections in Armenia, by 5:00 PM, the Operational Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received 57 signals of legal violations.

According to Oxu.Az, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia released this information.

Reportedly, there were 19 attempts of multiple voting, 15 violations of voting secrecy, two obstructions of voting rights, one case of election bribery, and one case of carrying a cold weapon at a polling station.

Materials related to these incidents have been sent to the preliminary investigation body. Currently, 14 individuals have been detained.

Additionally, 198 complaints about possible violations are under investigation. Information about the election spread in media and social networks is also being checked.

According to the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1,650 people applied to be included in additional voter lists.

To participate in the parliamentary elections, temporary identity documents (Form No. 9) were issued to 916 individuals.

The service's hotline received 820 calls regarding the organization and conduct of the election, and an additional 1,250 citizens were provided with consulting services in territorial divisions and mobile offices.
