Election Winner Announced in Armenia

Official preliminary results of the elections in Armenia have been released. The Central Election Commission has processed data from 1,296 polling stations.

Based on 55.95% of counted ballots, the ruling Civil Contract Party leads with 50.86% (414,608 votes).

In second place is the "Strong Armenia" bloc with 23.19% (189,050 votes). Third is the "Armenia" bloc with 9.6% (78,275 votes).

Other results: "Prosperous Armenia" party has 4.1% (33,417 votes), and "United Wings" party has 2.3% (18,720 votes).
