Bayern Munich has extended the contract of their 40-year-old goalkeeper and captain, Manuel Neuer.
According to Oxu.Az, the club announced this on their official "X" social media page.
The experienced goalkeeper's new contract will run until the summer of 2027. Bayern also extended the contract of 37-year-old goalkeeper Sven Ulreich until 2027.
Notably, Neuer has been playing for Bayern since his transfer from Schalke 04 in 2011. During this time, he has made 597 appearances in all competitions, keeping 269 clean sheets.
The German goalkeeper has won 13 German championships and two UEFA Champions League titles with the Munich club.
According to Transfermarkt, the 40-year-old's current market value is €4 million.
