A bear that caused the death of a man in Russia's Kamchatka region was neutralized at the scene. The tragic incident occurred near the village of Ozernovsky in the Ust-Bolsheretsky district.
According to Oxu.Az, the regional government reported this on its official website.
"Information about the incident was received from witnesses. An operational response team was immediately put on alert. Police officers and a volunteer hunter arriving at the scene found the bear over the body of the deceased fisherman. The bear was destroyed because it posed a direct threat to human life and it was necessary to stop the predator's actions. An ambulance team arrived and confirmed the victim's death," the report said.
