A beauty queen who calls herself an Instagram influencer and holds the title "Miss New York Elite" has been sued for failing to fully pay for her lavish wedding held in September 2025.
According to the New York Post, the wedding took place at a luxury hotel on Fifth Avenue in New York. Guests were treated to penthouse accommodations, dinner on a rooftop terrace with city views, and other premium services. The catering alone cost $100,000.
Kennedy-Melanson shared glimpses of her extravagant wedding on social media. She held the ceremony at the historic St. Patrick's Cathedral.
The hotel management claims that although the bride paid $106,000, she still owes $37,000 despite repeated requests. With interest, the debt exceeds $40,000.
Kaitlin called the hotel's claims "nonsense" and said she cannot comment further without consulting her lawyer. She also noted that she and her husband no longer live at the address listed in the lawsuit, so they have not yet been served.
Kennedy-Melanson married Greg Melanson, founder of a mid-market commercial real estate brokerage firm launched in New York in 2025.
