A knife attack in Belfast, Northern Ireland, carried out by a Somali-origin individual, has left one person injured.
According to Oxu.Az citing TASS, Belfast police reported that a man in his 30s, believed to be of Somali origin, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in north Belfast on the previous evening. The victim, a man in his 40s, is in hospital with serious injuries to his face, neck, and back.
LBC radio reported that the attacker attempted to behead the victim. Several people intervened to neutralize the perpetrator.
The suspect has been detained, and an investigation is underway to determine his motives.
