In Colorado, USA, rabbits with horn-like and club-like growths on their heads have been discovered.
According to LADbible, these "Frankenstein rabbits" are infected with Shope papillomavirus. The virus is transmitted by mosquitoes and ticks, not from rabbit to rabbit.
The Parks and Wildlife Department says the disease is more active in summer. Witnesses expressed shock on social media.
Experts say the growths are usually harmless and disappear on their own, but may sometimes turn into cancer. The virus is not dangerous to humans.
