Several employees of Germany's largest airline, Lufthansa, were injured in an incident involving a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Frankfurt Airport.

According to Oxu.Az, the DPA agency reported this citing a representative of the airline.

The incident occurred today at 12:45 local time (14:45 Baku time). The aircraft was scheduled to fly to Los Angeles, USA.

"The nose landing gear of the aircraft unexpectedly collapsed. Crew members and ground service staff were on board at the time. Passenger boarding had not yet started. Several employees were injured and are currently receiving medical assistance," said the airline's representative.

The exact causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated together with the authorities.
