A car exploded near a weapons production center in the Syrian capital Damascus.
According to reports, one person died in the explosion.
Syrian state news agency SANA reported hearing a blast and said the nature of the incident was under investigation.
A source in the Syrian Armed Forces said an explosive device was placed in the car and detonated near the main gate of the weapons management center.
The Civil Defense Ministry confirmed one fatality.
