Customs officers at Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg, Russia, detained a foreign chef who tried to bring over 21 kg of narsharab sauce from Baku without declaring it.

According to Ural Customs Department, as reported by ura.ru, "Inspectors stopped a citizen arriving from the Azerbaijani capital in the 'green corridor' of the customs control zone. During inspection, they found sauce in two 10-liter plastic containers weighing over 21 kg."

The passenger explained that he works as a chef at a cafe in Chita and brought the sauce, intended for fish, at the request of the establishment's director. The narsharab was purchased at a Baku market. He claimed he was unaware that goods not for personal use must be declared.
