During President Donald Trump's visit to China, local security authorities banned a US Secret Service agent from carrying a firearm while accompanying journalists.

According to Oxu.Az, the White House Press Service disclosed details of the incident.

As part of the official visit, the leaders were scheduled to visit the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan). Chinese security officials refused to allow the US agent to enter the temple with a gun, sparking a prolonged and tense dispute between representatives of the two countries.

As a result, the presidential press team's entry into the complex was delayed by about half an hour. One journalist noted that a resolution was reached but declined to provide further details.
