The number of laboratory-confirmed Ebola deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo has reached 101, according to the Ministry of Health.
Total Ebola infections during the current outbreak have risen to 550. A day earlier, the figures stood at 91 deaths and 515 infections.
Foreign experts are arriving to support the fight against Ebola. A group of Chinese medical experts has landed in the capital Kinshasa. Communications and Media Minister Patrick Muyaya Katembwe said the mission will last three months.
The current Ebola outbreak began last month in the DRC and Uganda. Experts warn it could become one of the largest and deadliest Ebola outbreaks in recent decades.
