A couple in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, was publicly caned for kissing in a car. They were accused of violating Islamic laws.

According to Oxu.Az, citing CNN Indonesia, the incident occurred during a TikTok livestream. A 22-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were each sentenced to 21 lashes after a court found them guilty of breaking Aceh's Sharia Criminal Code.

During the punishment, the woman asked for several breaks due to pain and fainted after the final blow, receiving medical attention on site.
