Crypto firms donated $189 million to US midterm elections. Ripple, Coinbase lead corporate sponsors.

Cryptocurrency companies operating in the US have become the largest corporate sponsors of the 2026 midterm elections.

According to a report by Public Citizen, analyzing FEC documents, Ripple, Crypto.com, Coinbase, and other crypto projects donated a total of $189 million to political action committees (Super PACs).

This amount accounts for 37% of all corporate political funds this year. The largest sums went to MAGA supporting Donald Trump ($56.2 million) and Fairshake committee ($82.6 million), founded in 2023 with support from Coinbase, Ripple, and Andreessen Horowitz.

Top sponsors include Andreessen Horowitz ($51.65M), Ripple ($49.6M), Crypto.com ($38.6M), and Coinbase ($35.2M). Gemini exchange and its founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss donated $27.5 million.
