Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla warned that a possible US military attack on the island could lead to a humanitarian catastrophe.
In a post on social media platform X, the minister said: "US military aggression against Cuba would turn into a real humanitarian catastrophe and a lake of blood, costing citizens of both countries their lives. Only politicians who do not send their own children and families to war could promote such a scenario."
He noted that a superpower like the US has no justification for launching a military strike against a small island that poses no threat. He emphasized that attempts to change the government cannot serve as a pretext for military intervention.
Recall that US President Donald Trump has previously raised the possibility of intervention in Cuba. Havana, in turn, has stated its full readiness to protect the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
