Astronauts aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft have captured unusual "dancing" aurora footage from orbit.

The video shows a bright green band of the southern lights twisting over Earth, creating various patterns and appearing to "dance."

According to Oxu.Az, NASA astronaut Jessica Meir shared the footage with the public.

In her post, she noted that the aurora drifted, creating a spectacular show. She said she was amazed by this unusual phenomenon.
