A fire broke out at a hotel in New Delhi, India, killing at least 21 people.
According to the ANI news agency, citing local MP Satish Upadhyaya, the incident occurred this morning. 47 people were rescued, but 21 were confirmed dead.
Firefighters and rescue teams were immediately dispatched; police and locals assisted in evacuations.
The hotel also housed citizens from Bangladesh and other South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
