One of the first Bitcoin miners from the Satoshi era has moved $203 million worth of cryptocurrency to two major brokers.
According to Onchain Lens, citing analytics firm Arkham, the crypto whale transferred 2,650 BTC to FalconX and Cumberland via three transactions. It is unclear if the transfer was for sale, but such activity often precedes large deals.
Analysts estimate the wallet still holds 6,000 BTC ($462 million).
The Satoshi era (2009-2011) saw Bitcoin mined on home computers, with 50 BTC rewards per block. At that time, Bitcoin had little value. László Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC in 2010 ($40). Today, that Bitcoin is worth $770 million.
If the whale sells its untouched stash after 15 years, it will realize massive profits.
