Ankara Regional Court of Justice annulled the 2023 congress of Turkey's main opposition party, CHP.

According to NTV, Özgür Özel has been removed from his position as chairman, and former leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has been temporarily reinstated.

The court ruled the 38th congress held on November 4-5, 2023, legally invalid, canceling all decisions taken there.

Özel, along with members of the Central Executive Board and High Disciplinary Board, have been dismissed.

Kılıçdaroğlu, the former party assembly, and disciplinary board members will temporarily run the party.
