The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has reported over 1,000 confirmed Ebola cases. The Ministry of Communication and Press announced 1,003 infections.
Deaths have reached 254, while 100 patients have fully recovered. Another 365 are hospitalized or in isolation. The mortality rate is 25.3%.
The WHO previously declared the Ebola outbreak in DRC and Uganda a global emergency. The risk of regional spread remains high.
