The number of deaths from Ebola fever in the Democratic Republic of Congo has reached 149.
According to the Ministry of Communication and Media, 710 confirmed cases have been reported. Previously, 139 deaths and 689 cases were recorded.
Currently, 324 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals. The mortality rate is 21%, and the contact tracing level is 60.5%.
The current Ebola outbreak was recorded on May 15 in the eastern part of the country, in Ituri province. Neighboring Uganda has also reported Ebola infections and deaths.
