Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed searches at the office of the opposition political bloc "Hayastan" led by former President Robert Kocharyan in Spitak, Lori region.
According to the committee, several people were detained on suspicion of violating donation rules during the pre-election campaign. Information was obtained that the head of the Spitak branch provided financial assistance to a voter.
In addition, the individual allegedly colluded with others to violently obstruct residents' free exercise of voting rights. Election bribery carries a penalty of 7 to 8 years in prison.
The committee launched a criminal case, arrested some individuals, and conducted searches and other legal measures.
