In Australia, a famous elephant seal named Nil, weighing over a ton, brought traffic to a complete standstill, disrupting the peace of a coastal town's residents.

According to Oxu.Az citing mk.ru, the massive mammal lay down at a busy intersection near the beach and knocked over road signs.

Wildlife conservation experts were urgently called to the scene and, with great difficulty, managed to move the animal to a safe area.

It is noted that Nil has been a problem for local utilities and drivers for several years. He habitually chooses this busy spot to rest, regularly damaging fences, chewing traffic cones, and causing kilometer-long traffic jams.

Despite the disturbances, it is strictly forbidden by law to approach or attempt to drive away the elephant seal, as it poses a life-threatening danger. Experts warn that even a sudden movement by this giant animal can cause severe human injury.
