A former model and victim of US financier Jeffrey Epstein, named Rosa, could not hold back tears while testifying before the US House Oversight Committee.
She spoke about how the Justice Department's careless handling of Epstein's documents led to her identity being leaked to the public.
According to Oxu.Az, citing the Daily Mail, Rosa was introduced to Epstein by French model agent Jean-Luc Brunel, who later founded the MC2 Model Management agency with Epstein's support. Brunel was later found hanged in his Paris cell awaiting trial for assault.
Rosa said: "During the time Jeffrey Epstein abused me, he was on house arrest for assaulting underage girls." She added that Epstein presented himself as an investor in the agency that promised careers.
After the agency owed Rosa $10,000, Epstein offered her a job at his science foundation. But this led to severe abuse: "Once his masseuse called me into the room, and Epstein sexually harassed me for the first time."
Rosa was subjected to abuse for three years. Although she later testified anonymously, her identity was exposed due to erroneous publication of court documents, with her name appearing over 500 times.
