Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit to attend the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
According to Oxu.Az, Erdogan's plane was escorted by Kazakh military aircraft as it landed at Astana airport.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed him at the airport. Children and a military band participated in the ceremony. Two helicopters carrying Turkish and Kazakh flags flew overhead.
The summit, themed "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development," will take place on May 15 in Turkistan. Official meetings are scheduled to begin on May 14.
