The European Commission (EC) has demanded that Meta, the US corporation, provide access for European and other rival companies' chatbots to the WhatsApp messenger.
According to Oxu.Az, citing TASS, this is stated in the EC's declaration.
"The EC instructed Meta to ensure free access for rival AI assistants to WhatsApp and maintain this access until the EC's antitrust investigation is completed," the report says.
The EC emphasized that it used an interim measure against Meta: "In rapidly changing markets, the competitive battle can be lost long before a final decision is made."
