Marta Kos, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, announced that the European Union (EU) will officially begin membership negotiations with Ukraine on June 15.
According to Ukrinform, the talks will cover the first legislative cluster, including judiciary, institutions, procurement system, financial control, and statistics.
Kos explained: "The rule of law is one of the most important steps. Everything starts and ends with it. This gives candidate countries a certificate that their progress towards EU membership is serious."
