An archdiocesan exorcist in Washington, Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, has been removed from his position after calling unidentified flying objects (UFOs) "the devil's trick."

According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by The Washington Post.

Rossetti stated that demons love to hide and do not want people to be aware of their actions, and that most UFO sightings are their game.

Washington Archbishop Cardinal Robert McElroy said such statements seriously undermine the Church's teachings on demons and exorcism. He announced Rossetti's suspension for this reason.
