Declassified FBI documents reveal information about bright objects, green fireballs, and unexplained light phenomena observed near US nuclear weapons facilities.

From December 1948 to May 1950, at least 209 unexplained aerial phenomena were recorded, mostly near atomic research centers and Strategic Air Command bases.

Scientists collected copper-rich particles from the air, some of which were nearly perfect spheres measuring about 12 microns in diameter.

While the documents do not confirm extraterrestrial origins, they show that military and scientific authorities took the phenomena seriously, allocating significant resources to investigate.
