Fire on USS Indianapolis injures 7 sailors

A fire broke out on the deck of the US Navy destroyer USS Indianapolis, injuring seven sailors.

The incident occurred on June 24 at Naval Station Mayport in Florida while the ship was in port. Crew and firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

The injured sailors were hospitalized, treated, and released. An investigation into the cause is underway.
