First hantavirus infection confirmed in Spain, detected in a passenger from the MV Hondius cruise ship.

First hantavirus case confirmed in Spain

Spain's Ministry of Health has officially confirmed the first case of hantavirus infection in the country.

According to Oxu.Az, the infection was detected in a passenger evacuated from the cruise ship "MV Hondius."

Test results for the other 13 evacuees are currently negative.

Previously, several European countries had declared quarantine due to hantavirus.
