Chinese rescuers have relocated over 36,000 people to safety due to torrential rains and flood threats in Guangdong province, southern China.
According to China's state television, the region's special headquarters for flood and drought control has fully activated emergency response mechanisms.
A total of 36,127 citizens have been evacuated from areas at risk of flooding.
Typically, southern China experiences heavy rains, destructive typhoons, and severe floods during the summer season.
