Ford and General Motors may shift to weapons production, including Patriot and Tomahawk missiles. US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that these automakers are signing deals for missile supply and production.
Trump noted that General Motors is "very interested" in arms manufacturing and has several plants that could be repurposed. The US aims to boost missile production and ensure sufficient Patriot stocks.
"We are in a serious economic boom in arms production. Some car companies have excess capacity and are signing agreements to produce missiles, especially Patriots," Trump said.
