France has called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council regarding Israel's military operations in Lebanon.
Oxu.Az reports that French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot stated this on BFM TV.
He described Tel Aviv's actions as unacceptable and called the operation a "serious mistake." The minister emphasized that nothing can justify Israel's continuation of military operations in Lebanon and the advancement of its forces deeper into the country.
"I have demanded an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council," Barrot said.
