The French Navy's aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' is currently stationed in the Arabian Sea.
According to reports, French Armed Forces Minister Delegate Alice Rufo announced this during an interview on 'BFMTV'.
Without disclosing exact coordinates, the minister noted the ship's route: 'It passed through the Suez Canal and headed to the Arabian Sea, but is not in the Strait of Hormuz'.
Rufo stated that the aircraft carrier's presence allows France to better assess the situation and play a more effective role in regional and international diplomatic processes.
She emphasized that France's main goal is to contribute to restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. 'This will be done in full compliance with international law, without any offensive actions, and only within a defensive framework,' she added.
