Due to the conflict in the Persian Gulf, the German government is struggling with fuel shortages and rising prices.
Ralf Niemayer, head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, told RIA Novosti that the fuel shortage is negatively affecting several sectors at once. Prices at German gas stations continue to rise, and the aviation sector is facing a kerosene shortage.
Niemayer said authorities have yet to propose any solutions. As a result, fuel prices have sharply increased in many countries around the world.
Earlier, US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened by the summer of 2026 at the latest. He stated that if Iran continues to hold the global economy hostage, US forces will open the strait by force.
