Weak disturbances of the Earth's magnetic field have been recorded, but a magnetic storm has not yet begun.
This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, citing TASS.
“The event lasted about two and a half hours. According to the current situation, there is still a possibility of reaching the red level, but objectively, the probability is decreasing,” the report said.
Earlier, it was announced that a plasma cloud from an X-class solar flare on June 3 had reached Earth, and magnetic storms were expected.
