German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to start peace negotiations on Ukraine with European participation.
According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by Germany's "N-tv" channel.
"Now is the perfect time to sit down at the negotiating table. I think everyone sees that the conflict is at a stage where it urgently needs to be ended," Wadeful said.
The minister emphasized the importance of including Germany and the European Union (EU) in the negotiation process. He stated that the European continent, potential security guarantees for Ukraine, and its integration into Europe are at risk. The German foreign minister believes that these issues cannot be discussed without the EU's involvement.
"Therefore, Europeans must be involved in these negotiations. We can decide at any time in what format and when this will happen," the minister noted.
